The stained glass works of Melbourne’s
 Preston Studios exemplifies the amazing
creative talent so abundant in the Space
 Coast. Preston Studios works adorn
entrances and windows of many of the
top homes in Brevard and its lamps are
sought after by collectors around the world.
“Not only does Preston Studios continue the
lamp tradition in stained glass exemplified
by the Tiffany works seen in the Morse
Museum in Winter Park, but it also embarks
on a more modernist design approach,”
John Emery of Preston Studios said.
Emery is a founding member of the
 Strawbridge Art League, which includes
artists representing every form of media
and style. Its gallery is a one-stop shop
 for fine arts.
 Art galleries are well represented
throughout the county, from Eau Gallery
and Fifth Avenue Art Gallery in the Eau
Gallie Arts District to the Studios of Cocoa
Beach, Carolyn Seiler and Friends Gallery
in Cocoa Village and Downtown Art Gallery
 in Titusville.
Performing arts venues are never far, either.
“We continue to bring the biggest and
brightest stars to the Space Coast, right to
your backyard,” said Chad Ballard, director
of sales and marketing for the Maxwell C.
King Center for the Performing Arts, which
is recognized as the premier destination
 for entertainment and community events
 in Brevard.
Boasting a 2,016-seat main stage theatre, as
well as an intimate 300-seat studio theater,
the King Center has something for everyone,
 from nationally touring Broadway shows
to the Titan Youth Theatre. The center is
also home to the Space Coast Ballet, the
 Brevard Symphony Orchestra and jazz
performances by the Brevard Music Group.
Not far from the King Center, Holy Trinity
Episcopal Academy’s Scott Center for the
Performing Arts is venue of choice for the
 Space Coast Symphony Orchestra.
 Community theater thrives at the
 Henegar Center and the Melbourne
 Civic Theatre in Melbourne, Historic
 Cocoa Village Playhouse, Surfside
 Playhouse in Cocoa Beach and
 Titusville Playhouse.
 Groups such as Melbourne Municipal
Band and the Community Band of
 Brevard offer concerts throughout
 the year.
The creativity of the artists and
 musicians of these organizations —
and the many others that call Brevard
home – is as colorful and engaging as the
stained glass works of Preston Studios.
