The Space Coast loves nothing better than
a good party, so festivals seem to be part
of just about every weekend.
Foodies enjoy a bounty of grazing
opportunities. In the fall, events such as
the Downtown Melbourne Food & Wine
Festival draw thousands eager to sample
the latest dishes from some of the area’s
best restaurants.
In the winter, it’s time for the Grant
Seafood Festival, one of the largest allvolunteer
run events of its kind in the
nation. IndiaFest, held in the early part of
the year, brings the aromatic enticements
of Indian cuisine to Wickham Park. For
dinner-and-a-history-lesson, Field
Manor’s Oyster and Fish Fry recreates
the celebrations Brevard pioneers enjoyed
at the turn of the century. Jazz in on the
plate at Jazzoo, Brevard Zoo’s food and
jazz festival.
Love beer? Try Rocky Water Brew Fest in
the Eau Gallie Arts District or the Space
Coast Brew Fest in Titusville for some of
the finest craft beer from throughout the
Sunshine State.
Viva Brevard, held in Palm Bay in October,
celebrates the flavors and sights of
Spanish-speaking cultures, while the
Native Rhythms Festival honors the
heritage of Native Americans.
The county literally lights up with joy
during the holidays, with events such as
the Light Up Viera Holiday Parade and
Space Coast Lightfest, which transforms
Wickham Park into a magical winter
wonderland.
