Feeling scared or nervous about your upcoming procedure? Do you find it hard to manage your chronic condition? Many patients have the same concerns. Parrish Medical Center believes the more information you have about your care, the more in control you’ll feel. This is why we are proud to offer you access to FREE, online, educational programs called Emmi.

Emmi programs are a series of online presentations that make complex medical information easy to understand. Using a soothing voice, animated graphics and easy-to-read text, Emmi programs take you through your upcoming procedure. They walk you through medical procedures from beginning to end, and help you learn what to expect before, during and after a procedure.

You can also print a summary of what you saw, so you can review the information when you’re away from the computer.  With Emmi, you won’t feel rushed. You can watch the program as many times as you want in the comfort of your own home, or a friend or family member’s house—wherever you have internet access.

  • Emmi helps you learn what to expect before, during and after you have your procedure
  • Emmi can be accessed wherever you have internet access
  • Emmi can be shared with concerned family or friends

Emmi programs are also available to help you manage your chronic condition, like COPD, asthma, diabetes or heart disease. Emmi can help you learn how to live a healthier life.
