HEALTH FIRST
Health First, Central Florida's only fully
integrated delivery network, employs
more than 9,000 associates, operates
Health First's Cape Canaveral Hospital,
Holmes Regional Medical Center and
serves as Brevard County's only Trauma
II Center, Palm Bay Hospital and Viera
Hospital opened in 2011. Holmes Regional
Medical Center’s Heart Center is a stateof
the-art cardiac care facility that
performs the most cardiac procedures
in the county.
With more than 4,000 providers, Health
First Medical Group is the largest multispecialty
physician group on the Space
Coast. Health First also offers numerous
outpatient and wellness services,
including Health First Aging Services,
three Health First Pro-Health & Fitness
Centers, Home Care and the Hospice of

ROCKLEDGE AND MELBOURNE
REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTERS
Part of Steward Health Care, Rockledge
and Melbourne regional medical centers
are full-service acute care hospitals with
a complement of health service affiliates.
Steward Health Care is the nation’s largest
physician-owned, private, for-profit
health care network.
Among the numerous accolades awarded
to Rockledge Regional Medical Center is
recognition by the American College of
Cardiology in the Best Hospitals issue of
U.S. News and World Report. The 298-bed
hospital has earned numerous awards,
recognitions and certifications from its
commitment to providing quality patient
care and is recognized both locally and
nationally for clinical excellence.
Opened in 2002, it is designed for patient
comfort and satisfaction with 119 rooms,
all of them private. Fully accredited by the
Joint Commission, Melbourne Regional
Medical Center has received many awards
for patient care, including the nation’s top
distinction for patient safety, a Leapfrog
Hospital Safety Grade A.
PARRISH MEDICAL CENTER
Throughout its 60-year history serving
Brevard County, Parrish Medical Center
has earned a national reputation as one
of America's finest healing environments.
The center is a leader in providing
therapeutic healing environments as
part of the model of care, including
adopting the healing design concept
withing each of its outpatient Parrish
Healthcare centers. This design concept
is recommended by the Centers for
Medicare and Medicaid Services as
the preferred design approach for all
hospitals.
In 2014, Parrish became the first Central
Florida hospital and the third in the state
to become a member of the Mayo Clinic
Care Network, which allows collaboration
with the Mayo Clinic on patient care,
community health and innovative health
care delivery.
In addition to the three major hospital
systems, Brevard County is also home to
Kindred Hospital Melbourne and Acute
Rehabilitation Unit, a 58-bed hospital
for long-term acute care.
