Wildlife and technology join forces in
 North Brevard, where the magnificent
number of bird species found at Merritt
Island National Wildlife Refuge fly not far
from a different kind of bird, the rockets
 launched from Kennedy Space Center.
 Titusville, the original county seat,
offers attractions such as the Police
Hall of Fame & Museum, the nation’s only
museum devoted to the sacrifices of law
 enforcement officers. And then there
is the historical Pritchard House, too.
The home, built in Queen Anne style by
 Brevard pioneer Capt. James Pritchard,
 transports visitors to long-gone times.
The craft beer culture thrives in Titusville
thanks to Playalinda Brewing Co. The
arts are also alive and well, thanks to

 Titusville Playhouse, which not only
 orchestrates productions at its historical
Emma Parrish Theatre but also offers
outdoor plays and concerts en plein
air under the tent of the Shuler Stage.
Nature lovers will be enchanted by the
splendor of the Enchanted Forest and
no foodie will miss a chance to dine at
 Dixie Crossroads, known worldwide for
 its mouth-watering seafood.
 Titusville’s neighboring communities
of Scottsmoor, Mims and Port St. John
 offer the opportunities for year-round
outdoor living and for enjoying a rural
lifestyle not far from the amenities of
 the city.
