Crush XI is a classic American restaurant with a modern twist.
Crush XI is an experimental scratch kitchen. It is both an upscale yet casual dining restaurant located in the old Flatiron Building in the heart of Downtown Melbourne. The restaurant serves its guests with a chef-driven menu featuring locally sourced ingredients, hand-made cocktails and unique wines.
Owners Mona and John Foy describe the rustic American restaurant as trendy and hip, perfect for the growing town of Melbourne. Crush XI moved to Melbourne from its original Cocoa location in 2018 and brought with it a much-needed modern design. The flatiron building features brick walls, tin ceilings, exposed piping and gorgeous wood detailing.
The social atmosphere is spread out between several rooms and features quirky artwork and refinished vintage furniture. Every piece is handpicked and carefully thought out – just like the ever-changing menus. You are sure to get a fresh culinary experience with each visit.
The dishes are an explosion of flavors, artfully put together to delight the senses. If you don’t fall in love at the first presentation, you are sure to after your first bite. The duck or salmon are always favorites along with the duck fat fries with garlic aioli. And for lunch, I highly suggest the duck confit tacos or the smash burger! Sharing is encouraged so if you can’t decide, order a mixed selection and try a little of everything. The bar features some of the best and most unique cocktails (and mocktails) in town. You won’t want to miss these fun creations. You can also pop in for happy hour and grab a bite from their delicious bar snacks menu if you want something smaller than a full meal.
Crush XI is open for dinner and for select brunch/lunch hours. Also, keep a lookout for one of their many special events like the Valentine’s Day Prix fixe menu or the super popular repeal day!
