With all the holiday happenings during these next couple of months, events and parties that begin right after work hours are sure to occur. Don’t have time to run home and make a change after work before heading out to a festive event, happy hour or party? These staple pieces and simple accessories allow you to seamlessly change from classy 9-5 to after-hours dazzling.
For sleek business attire, start with a solid color dress, blazer and shoes. You want to keep things simple with your jewelry and other accessories as you will want to draw attention to yourself after work hours, not during. For our look, we started with a solid royal blue dress, added a black blazer and matching black heels. A gold necklace and matching ring keep things modest yet elegant. A black handbag with gold accents tie the look together.
After Hours Chic
Before leaving work, easily jazz up your look. We removed the blazer and added more gold jewelry such as a statement necklace, earrings and gold bangle bracelets. We switched the purse out for a clutch and spiced everything up with a fierce cheetah print heel. The shoes tied together the black clutch and gold jewelry while the royal blue color gave off a festive vibe. Add more zest by changing your hair and makeup to a nighttime look and voilà, you are good to go!
