It’s time for dessert! Well, really, when is it not?? Sometimes you just have a sweet tooth that needs to be satisfied… no matter the time of day! Well, fortunately, I have a delicious cake that will look and taste like you slaved for hours baking it from scratch, but it only takes minutes to prepare! After it bakes, it needs to set in the fridge for an hour, but it still makes for a good last-minute dessert go-to! Bake it once… and I assure you you’ll be baking this Oreo Pudding Cake again and again!

Prep-to-Eat Time: Approx. 1 ½ hours

Ingredients:

1 box chocolate cake mix, along with necessary ingredients (usually eggs, oil, and water)

2 4-oz. packages of Instant Oreo Pudding mix

4 cups milk

Oreo cookies, crushed

Directions:

Make cake according to the box directions and bake in a greased 9×13 pan.

Just before cake is done, begin making the pudding, according to the box directions. Let the pudding mixture sit for a couple minutes; you want it to slightly thicken.

When cake is finished and still warm, poke holes throughout the cake, about 1 inch apart, using  a wooden spoon handle or something similar (see image below).

Spoon the pudding mixture into each hole, pushing it downwards. Then pour the remaining pudding mixture over the top of the entire cake, using a spoon to spread evenly.

Allow the cake to cool for several minutes, then put it in the fridge for at least 1 hour. Once the cake has set, top with crushed Oreo cookies.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve with a nice cold glass of Milk or Very Vanilla Silk.

If you really want to indulge, top your sliced cake with Cookies ‘N’ Cream ice crea
