Fall is upon us and that means seasonal events are starting to take place. From pumpkin patches to fall festivals and Halloween haunts, the Space Coast has something for everyone this month. Explore the Space Coast’s beauty, culture and family fun this fall.

Pumpkin Patch

Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Whether you enjoy carving or eating them, pick up your pumpkins at the Church at Viera pumpkin patch. Offering a wide selection of pumpkins and gourds, this patch is one of the biggest in the county. A beautiful backdrop with hay bales and scarecrows will be available for family photos. Haunted Airboat Ride

Find out what’s lurking in the swamp at this spooky event. Camp Holly and the Brevard County Airboat Association invite you to discover swamp “monsters” on a haunted airboat ride along the St. Johns River. A haunted trail will also be set up for guests to venture through, if you dare! Children of all ages are welcome to attend. Ghostly Gecko 5K

October 18

Race starts at 6:30 p.m.

This Halloween-themed evening race is sure to be a spooktacular good time. Both children and adults are welcome to participate. A post race party will take place at Squid Lips where you can expect a Halloween costume contest (for the kids too,) trick-or-treat bags, Halloween goodie bags, food provided by Squid Lips, and a Halloween Horror Night ticket package giveaway. $30 prior to race day, $35 day of race. Rockledge Gardens Fall Festival

Celebrate autumn and the beginning of Florida’s farm season at Rockledge Gardens’ Annual Fall Festival! This fall festival features food trucks, art and craft booths, hayrides, kids’ games and activities, fresh apples from North Carolina, live music, and a costume contest. Free to attend. Halloween in the Village

The City of Cocoa Leisure Services is hosting the 6th Annual Halloween in the Village. This safe and fun event for the whole family will include a visit to merchants for treats, bounce houses, slides, games, hay ride, pumpkin decorating, and a costume contest for both kids and pets. A Halloween movie will be playing on the big screen starting at 7:15 p.m. There is a $5 activity band fee for children under 13.
