Countdown to Summer Camp | Give Them a Summer To Remember!

Summer doesn’t officially start until June 21, but by the time Memorial Day hits, most of Brevard County’s kids will be off from school and ready for a summer of fun. It’s never too early to start thinking about Brevard County summer camps. Here are some options available to help keep your kids occupied and engaged.

Calema Windsurfing and Watersports
June 8 – August 14

Calema Windsurfing and Watersports offers four watersport day camps for both beginners and experienced campers. Taking place at Kelly Park in Merritt Island, children ages 10 to 17 can choose from sailing, windsurfing, kayaking/stand up paddleboard and watersports (which encompass all the other camps into one.) Locklear Studio Clay Camp
May 26 – July 24

Campers will explore their imaginations and create pieces by working in tools and techniques taught by Miss Loys. Offering both a beginner and an advanced camp, space is limited to a maximum of eight participants per weekly session. Advanced camp is open to students ages 10 and up with previous camp experience., (321) 637-0061


Happy Hooves Horse Camp
June 1 – July 31

This day camp will have your child spending quality time with horses and the rest of the farm animals while making new friends. Learn lessons about basic horse care, safe horsemanship, feeding and nutrition, horseback riding and even the basics of showing. Camp is open to children ages 6 to 17., (321) 482-4033


Holy Trinity Summer Programs
June – July

Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy believes in nurturing the whole child and celebrating the contributions each individual brings to a group. Whether you are looking for artistic expression, sports challenges, driver’s education, math or other academic enrichment, or just plain summer fun, Holy Trinity offers a friendly environment to explore new activities and create lasting friendships. Florida Tech Summer Camps
June 1 – July 31

If you have kids between the ages of 3 and 18, Florida Tech has 29 summer camps to choose from. The choices include sports camps like basketball or football, art camps at Florida Tech’s Foosaner Art Museum or studying the sea creatures of Brevard County at Marine Science Camp. Over 11 academic summer camps include science, engineering, aviation and business with faculty and staff members skilled in their field.

Suntree Country Club
June – July 

This year’s theme is “Around the World” and kids will enjoy swimming, arts and crafts, weekly fieldtrips, golf and tennis lessons, indoor and outdoor games, team activities and much more in a safe environment., (321) 242-6529


Kennedy Space Center
June 8 – August 7

Camp KSC launches kids into another galaxy. Campers are encouraged to pursue science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) through exciting educational activities. Space Shuttle Atlantis: From Sketch Pad to Launch Pad, the camp theme, focuses on Atlantis and the historical impact of its 33 missions.  Registration is open to students 2nd grade to 11th grade., (866) 737-5235     


Brevard Zoo
June 3 – July 31

Half or full day camps with a balance of science and outdoor adventure means the kids won’t even know they’re learning. Fun themes include Animals in Motion, Animal Olympics, Animal Adventures, Art Camp and many more!, (321) 254-9453


Rocking L Ranch
June 1 – July 31

Horse lovers will be thrilled to attend this camp that includes horseback riding and learning how to feed and care for horses, chickens and other farm animals too. Kids will work in a real vegetable garden and grow plants. Plus, arts and crafts, slip and slide, and much more!, (321) 693-4157


Turning Pointe of Melbourne – Dance Camp
June 15 – July 26

Princess dance camp includes dance, crafts, videos, dress-up and more. This is a half-day option and is open to children ages 4 to 8. Dance intensive is available for ages 9 and up and includes acrobatics, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, modern and tap., (321) 254-2340


Etiquette and Image Summer Camp
June 8 – 11; June 29 – July 2

Camp will instruct children in proper greetings, correspondence, technology etiquette, manners at school, home and out and about, and being a proper host and guest.  Also, tea etiquette followed by a mid-day tea. Dining etiquette will be instructed and followed by a five course meal on the final day. The camp will also include personal appearance, grooming, proper attire, appropriate posture, and some modeling technique. This camp will promote confidence and self-esteem.  Camp is Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Thursday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 8 – 11: Classes for 3rd to 5th grade; June 29 – July 2: Classes for middle school.
