December 10th

2 p.m. @ Church at Viera

SpaceCoast Living is hosting a toy drive at the Church of Viera on December 10. There will be an airing of Toy Story, with admission to the event being a toy or a monetary donation. The doors open at 2 p.m., and the movie starts at 2:30 p.m.. The proceeds will go to Toys For Kids Brevard.

The toy drive is the brainchild of Nevin Flinchbaugh, art director for SCB Marketing. An avid fan of Toy Story and Disney/Pixar, Flinchbaugh is known for the Pizza Planet truck he drives around Brevard County. Much like the reason for building a real-life version of the truck found in the Toy Story franchise, Flinchbaugh created the toy drive to bring the community together and provide a place and event where parents can teach their children the value of helping others while having fun and enjoying time together in the process.

“The toy drive is the avenue where we can bring smiles to children that without the help of these charities would not get to enjoy the joys of Christmas that most of us are accustomed to,” Flinchbaugh said. “It brings happiness to those families while the families participating in the event get to come together, laugh and spend time with each other.”
