- 2016 – STEM Leadership Star of the Year: Art Hoelke, Knight’s Armament, Inc., Titusville, Florida
- 2016 – STEM Mentor of the Year: Connie Rooke, parent coach for STEM Clubs, Cocoa, Florida
- 2016 – STEM Non-profit Innovator of the Year: Codecraft Lab & Codecraft Works, Melbourne, Florida
The award winners were announced at an awards ceremony during the SCWID 4th Anniversary celebration, which took place on January 28, 2017, at Larsen Motorsports, Inc. The STEM Innovator Awards promote special individuals and businesses that go above and beyond in their support of STEM in our community. The SCWID recognizes these businesses and individuals’ extraordinary contribution to the SCWID STEM activities and programs. This year’s award winners exemplify and serve as inspirational leaders in our community.
