Redberry Gourmet Frozen Yogurt revolving flavors of delicious creamy treats at The Avenue Viera
What’s better than indulging in a delicious frozen treat after a long day of shopping? Not much, especially if the treat is a gourmet dessert that can be customized to your liking.
In July of this year, Loanna Pham, along with her husband, Andy Nguyen, opened Redberry at The Avenue Viera that has quickly become a favorite spot of local parents and kids, shoppers and movie-goers.
“Redberry is a self-serve frozen-yogurt restaurant. We offer a variety of non-fat, low-fat and no-sugar-added frozen yogurt. And recently we added sorbet for lactose-intolerant customers,” explains Pham. “We stand out by offering the highest quality products.”
The unique flavors of Redberry are rotated every Saturday, so even the shop’s most frequent patrons never get bored. “Our most popular flavors are dreamydark chocolate, country vanilla, cake batter, birthday cake, toasted sweet coconut, red velvet cake, New York cheesecake and old-fashioned peanut butter,” says Pham.
While most soft-serve places typically offer the classic chocolate and vanilla blend, this is just the beginning at Redberry. Not only does the shop revolve its 60-plus flavors each week, but patrons also can blend frozen yogurt flavors to their liking. Coconut swirled with pineapple, and coffee mixed with pumpkin, are just a couple of the many concoctions that have been created.
To further satisfy customers’ cravings, Redberry offers toppings like high-quality, seasonal fresh fruits, as well as granola, cereal and nuts, and of course, candies. Expanding beyond the customary candy toppings of sprinkles and chocolate chips (which Redberry also offers), patrons can scoop up helpings of brownie bites, cheesecake bits, cookie dough and special syrups.
Pham and Nguyen, who re-located to Florida from Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina, chose to open Redberry at The Avenue Viera for its convenient location and because “it’s a safe outdoor mall for all ages,” according to Pham. Moving forward, the couple hopes to add to the Redberry experience by serving more specialty items such as smoothies, coffee, cupcakes and cookies, as well as by opening another store at a new location.
As long as Brevardians enjoy quick and delicious gourmet desserts, the couple is hoping Redberry is their one-stop shop to satisfy those sweet cravings.
