The Mouse House, as Disney is affectionately called, is not just a magical place for children. You might be surprised to learn there are upscale options when dining at Disney. Adults may even find that their favorite part is the food and a trip without children is easily filled with delicious dining throughout the parks and hotels.
Want to give it a try? Here are our recommendations for the tastiest places to eat in and around Disney World.
Victoria & Albert’s
Located in the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, this is one of the more expensive restaurants in all of Disney. Victoria & Albert’s features modern American cuisine with exquisite products sourced from around the world. It is also the recipient of AAA’s highest achievement, the Five Diamond Award, “Forbes Travel Guide” Four Star rating and glowing reviews from Zagat and others.
Ohana
Ohana is a sit-down restaurant located at the Polynesian Village Resort. It serves unlimited steak, shrimp, chicken and pork. It is not a buffet, the servers come to your table and bring skewers of hot meat. The dumplings, stir-fried vegetables, lo mein noodles and salad are excellent too. Evening meals include live entertainment and a fun game for children to play, giving parents a few minutes to sit and eat.
California Grill
At the top of the Contemporary Resort, California Grill has a tremendous view of the fireworks and the food is amazing. Watch the lively onstage kitchen, where chefs combine global flavors in deliciously inventive new ways. Changing seasonally, the menu may include such specialties as handmade Sonoma goat cheese ravioli, steamed mussels and oak-grilled filet of beef. It recently introduced a Sunday brunch as well.
Boma
Boma is an African-themed buffet located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. The atmosphere is amazing, the food is tasty, and it is an experience that you won’t get very often. Under thatched roofs, chefs prepare grilled seafood, roasted meats, vegetarian specialties, fresh salads and house-baked pastries in the onstage kitchen. Delight in unique South African wines—many of which are available by the glass.
Le Cellier Steakhouse
Le Cellier is a steakhouse located in the Epcot theme park, in the Canada pavilion. Descend into the cozy cellar of a Canadian château where the steak is among the best in all of Disney. Enjoy a fine Canadian wine, chosen from the vintages displayed in glass and wood cases surrounding the restaurant’s intimate interior.
Advance reservations are highly recommended at most restaurants and can be made up to 180 days prior to your visit. Reservations can be made by calling (407) WDW-DINE or DisneyWorld.com/dine
