In keeping with this season’s theme of “Expect the Unexpected,” the Brevard Symphony Orchestra’s March concert will include dazzling cirque performers on the same stage as the Brevard Symphony Orchestra. Aerialists will fly overhead and acrobats will amaze…dancers, strongmen, jugglers and more!

The Brevard Symphony Orchestra (BSO) will present the music of Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, Bizet, Saint-Saens, Glinka and more.  The music will include shorter pieces coordinated with the cirque troupe for a customized show, never before seen in Brevard.

Maestro Chris Confessore performed with the professional cirque troupe over a year ago in Birmingham. Impressed, he started making calls the next day to coordinate a performance with the Brevard Symphony Orchestra. He hopes that the performance will enhance the experience of previous concert goers and appeal to a broader audience who may not have attended a performance before.

“We included different elements but music is the most important thing. It really enhances the presentation of the music and vice versa,” Chris says.

The show is offered as both a matinee and evening performance to attract a larger audience as well. “That’s exciting for us. The matinee is perfect for kids. We hope that folks will bring kids along to the show.”
