That academic curiosity carried forward into medical school at Vanderbilt, where her experiences extended beyond the classroom.
While completing her Doctor of Medicine, Dr. Johnson volunteered at Mother Teresa’s Home for the Dying in Calcutta, India, and helped coordinate annual service trips to Nicaragua for fellow medical students. These experiences shaped a broader perspective on care — one that values compassion as much as clinical excellence. She went on to complete her dermatology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, serving as chief resident and earning the House Staff Clinical Teaching Award for her leadership in education.
Today, as a board-certified dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Johnson brings that same dedication to her patients at ShadeTree Dermatology.
