At Edward Jones, Mitchell Wealth Management, a practice led by Cameron and Colleen Mitchell in Viera, Florida, financial advising is more than a profession — it is a legacy of service, growth, and meaningful impact. Supported by their dedicated team — Leslie Smith, Martina Stanley, and Taylor Donovan — the Mitchells are committed to helping families achieve what is financially most important to them.
Both began their careers as financial advisors with Edward Jones in 2015 and met each other at the Edward Jones headquarters before moving to Florida’s Space Coast, where they built not only a thriving financial practice but also a family, raising two children in a community they proudly call home. Cameron, who grew up in Maitland, Florida, graduated from Winter Park High School before earning a degree in business management and marketing from the University of Mississippi. Inspired at an early age by lessons from his grandparents on investing, he developed a lifelong desire to help others achieve financial security.
Colleen’s path to a career in financial advising started in Taylorville, Illinois, where she grew up watching her father, Jerry Quick, build a 45-year career as an Edward Jones financial advisor. After graduating from Glenwood High School, she studied pre-med and business management at Hope College in Michigan. Witnessing her father’s profound impact on clients and the community sparked her own desire to serve others through financial advising. Colleen states that, “While me and Cameron have our individual journeys and stories that brought us together not only as husband and wife, but as financial advisors, we both shared the same deep desire to have a lasting and meaningful impact for good on the individuals we had the opportunity to serve.”
To the Mitchells, the value of a financial advisor lies in trust and partnership. “A good financial advisor is someone you can count on and trust to help manage your wealth while you are busy focusing on what truly matters in life…. Which is subjective to each individual person. This work is incredibly rewarding to experience and be a part of,” says Cameron. “What sets us apart is our focus on people,” he continues. “We are dedicated to helping business owners and individuals uncover opportunities for not only growing and building their wealth, but also creating income in the most efficient way.”
As proud partners with Edward Jones, the Mitchells emphasize the firm’s client-first philosophy. “Edward Jones has been around for over 100 years, with a foundation rooted in serving clients’ best interests,” says Colleen. “That allows us to provide exceptional resources and focus entirely on our clients.” The Mitchells’ dedication to excellence has earned them national recognition. Colleen was recently recognized as a Forbes Top Next-Gen Wealth Advisor Best-In-State for 2024. Forbes Top Next-Gen Wealth Advisors Best-in-State in FL, published in August each year, research by SHOOK Research LLC, data as of March of the same year. Compensation provided for using, not obtaining, the rating. The rating is not based on quality of investment advice, investment performance or client feedback. Colleen shares that “These recognitions reflect not just our hard work but the trust our clients place in us every day.”
After nine years in the Space Coast, the Mitchells are proud to call this vibrant community home. “We arrived here not knowing anyone, but today we’re grateful to be part of such a dynamic and thriving region.” As the new year begins, the Mitchells encourage you to reflect, set goals and take steps toward financial freedom. “How can we serve…? This is our heart’s posture and the question that drives us every day,” Cameron exclaims.
