Reception at the Downtown Art Gallery “Back to my Roots, Photography by Jeff Thamert

World-class artistry isn’t always found in big cities or faraway galleries. Sometimes, it’s right in our own backyard. On Friday, September 26, from 5–9 PM, the Downtown Art Gallery will host Back to My Roots, a special exhibition and reception honoring Jeff Thamert, a Titusville-based photographer whose breathtaking landscapes are drawing national acclaim, including recognition in Smithsonian Magazine.

Collectors across the country seek out Jeff’s work, and his award-winning images hang in private collections worldwide. Yet locals don’t have to travel far to experience it — Jeff’s photography is permanently on view at the Downtown Art Gallery.

Known for his sweeping views of Florida’s coastal mangroves, sentinel cypress, moss-draped oaks, and remote beaches, Jeff’s artistry is more than photography; it’s storytelling. Every piece is meticulously crafted, from capture to printing, mounting, and custom framing, all completed in his Titusville studio.

The September 26 reception is an opportunity for the community to meet the artist behind the lens, hear the stories behind his award-winning works, and acquire limited edition pieces sought after by collectors nationwide.
