Kids Pottery Class: Breakfast Game
The Studios of Cocoa Beach, 165 Minutemen Causeway, in downtown Cocoa Beach host children’s art classes with Glaucia Romano. The January class meets on three Saturdays from 10 to 11 am, beginning January 13. 2024. There is also a class which meets on on Thursday afternoon.
This month we will be creating a fun tic-tac-toe game out of clay… but with a breakfast twist! The playing board will be a waffle and the pieces will be fruits and butter…. or whatever your child wants to come up with! Ideal for kids 4 to 11 years old.
This super-fun art class focuses on process, rather than product. Process art allows children to explore and make connections without the pressure of “right” or “wrong” ways to do things. It helps develop creativity and self-esteem by focusing on what kids imagine rather than their skill level. With excitement and interest in their own creations, kids grow curious and naturally start developing those skills. I keep the group small so that each child can have as much attention and guidance as they need to create and learn!
Glaucia has an MA in Art Education and is a certified Art Educator in the state of Florida. She has taught art classes for over 15 years in the public and private sectors, mostly to kids, but also to adults. She has a wide knowledge of a variety of media and processes and can’t wait to share them with you.
