Grace Vista has always loved real estate. In fact, she passed
her first state real estate exam when she was 18 years old
but took the long road to get to her real estate career. Today,
Grace is a professional Realtor and Broker serving all of Brevard
County. She was the Owner/Broker of Vista Florida Realty before
her firm merged with a top luxury real estate firm, Dale Sorensen
Real Estate, in 2020. She is now the Regional Managing Broker for
Sorensen’s Viera/Suntree and Cocoa Village offices. In addition
to marketing and selling waterfront and luxury homes, Grace
also sells commercial real estate. But perhaps what Grace enjoys
equally, besides selling real estate, is mentoring, training and
coaching her 45 real estate agents. “One of my main goals is to

grow my team in Brevard County,” says Grace, “and to help my agents
achieve their goals and become successful.”
But Grace’s road to real estate began on a different path. Raised in
Annapolis, Maryland, Grace was a skilled writer and won a journalism
scholarship. She studied broadcast journalism and earned her BA from
the University of Maryland. Her first job after college was working for
the popular FOX television show, America’s Most Wanted. Grace recalls, “It
was a 14-hour day every Sunday when we taped the show. I learned that
I did not like television production as much as I liked the public relations
and marketing aspect of my job. It was a great learning experience.”
Grace later returned to school at the University of Baltimore and earned
her MBA in marketing. She served as the marketing director for various
corporations — managing annual marketing budgets in excess of $ 2
million. She brought her marketing expertise to her next career choice
when she made a pivotal career change into real estate in 2004 — a
career that took off almost immediately. Grace won the “Rookie of the
Year” sales award at her first firm. She went on to win numerous sales
awards, including “Top Producer”, “Top Sales”, “Million-in-a-Month Sales”,
and “Leading Edge Sales”, to name a few.
In the fall of 2008, Grace made a life-changing decision to relocate from
Maryland where she had lived most of her life, to Viera, to live closer to
her mom. She started her new Florida real estate career and immediately
began to market herself. Grace became a top luxury and waterfront
Realtor in Brevard County and earned her Broker license in 2014. She left
her position at RE/MAX that year and started Vista Florida Realty.
Grace says she enjoyed creating and growing her own firm for over 5
years. She was approached by several larger companies in recent years
but none of them appealed to her, until she met the owners of Sorensen.
“When Dale Sorensen Real Estate approached me, I was honored and
intrigued,” Grace said. “I knew of their brand and was impressed by their
success and specifically, their fantastic marketing.” After meeting with the
owners, Grace made the decision to sell and merge her company. “It was
an easy decision because I knew I would be able to give my agents and
our clients better service and unmatched global marketing,” Grace said.
Today, Grace enjoys her role as a Regional Managing Broker for Sorensen.
She continues to grow her team of agents and is excited about the future.
“Change can be a good thing,” Grace said. “I am excited about expanding
our DSRE offices in Brevard County.”
“Living in Florida with my family and working with awesome people
every day is such a blessing that I do not take for granted,” Grace says.
Her family also includes her husband, Steve, and her beloved pets.
Grace actively supports various charities and has served on the Board
of Directors for the Space Coast Cancer Foundation and the Friends of
Animals Sanctuary. In her limited spare time, Grace loves to spend time
with family and friends, dine out, travel, and study real estate all over
the world!
