Sunrise Facial & Oral Surgery is proud to welcome Dr. Joshua Ospina to our team of experienced oral and maxillofacial surgeons. A Florida native with a passion for surgical excellence and compassionate patient care, Dr. Ospina is now accepting new patients and will be seeing patients at all three Sunrise Facial & Oral Surgery locations in Melbourne, Suntree, and Titusville.
Dr. Ospina grew up in Oviedo, Florida, and has dedicated his career to providing exceptional surgical care to patients of all ages. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida before completing his dental education at the LECOM School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, Florida.
Following dental school, Dr. Ospina completed a one-year internship at Augusta University, where he gained advanced training in facial trauma and dentoalveolar surgery. He then completed four years of specialty training through the prestigious University of Oklahoma Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program in Oklahoma City. His extensive training has prepared him to treat a broad range of surgical needs while providing patients with personalized, comprehensive care.
Dr. Ospina’s professional interests include facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, facial cosmetic procedures, and dentoalveolar surgery, including wisdom tooth removal and dental implant procedures. His approach combines technical surgical expertise with a commitment to helping patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident throughout their treatment experience.
Whether a patient needs wisdom tooth removal, dental implants, corrective jaw surgery, treatment following facial trauma, or is exploring facial cosmetic procedures, Dr. Ospina brings a broad range of surgical knowledge and a patient-centered philosophy to every consultation.
Outside of the office, family is at the center of Dr. Ospina’s life. He enjoys spending time with his wife, who is also his high school sweetheart, and their three young children. He is excited to return to Florida and serve the community where he grew up while building a rewarding career close to home.
