Entrepreneur found inspiration in her tiny dog’s energy
A Schnauzer channels his hunting instincts chasing a SwiftPaws lure.
Necessity, notes the adage, is the mother of invention. In the case of Meghan Wolfgram, necessity weighed about 10 pounds and took the form of a miniature pinscher named Pretzel.
What he lacked in size, Pretzel more than made up for with a relentlessly energetic desire to chase anything. Wolfgram knew a lure course would be perfect to channel the pup’s passion for the chase, but there were some big problems.
“Back then, lure coursing equipment was often $4,000 or more,” Wolfgram said. Equipment was also hard to get and not really geared to small dogs like Pretzel.
