Be a HERO and Run for the Kids Behind the Uniform

Patrick Space Force Base, FL — Military children move, they wait, and they sacrifice while their parents serve.

On April 11, 2026, the Space Coast community will have the opportunity to show their support and honor the strength and resilience of military kids and 74,000 military families who call Florida’s Space Coast Home. .

The AVET Project (American Veterans Empowerment Team), a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer nonprofit organization, will host the inaugural Heroes for Military Kids 5K & Kids Dash at 8:00 a.m. at The Avenue Viera. The event is open to ALL participants (Heroes) of all ages. Come out and be Hero.

As long as our military families stand on the front lines for us, we will stand beside them.  That’s why we need YOU.

Your time, your voice, or any form of support creates real impact. Together, we can bring lasting positive change to those who sacrifice so much.  We truly can’t do this without you.
