Her exhibit will be on view at Downtown Art Gallery from August 9 through August 30, with a public reception in her honor on Friday, August 22, from 5 to 8 PM.\nThis vibrant young artist began her journey at Sculptor Elementary under the guidance of art instructor Michelle Akimenko, who later mentored her ambitious senior project: the creation of a full-scale mural at her alma mater. Mariana has gone on to receive numerous accolades, including honors from the Scholastic Art Awards and the Florida Junior Classical League.\nMariana currently finds her passion in digital art and character design, with plans to major in Studio Art at the University of Central Florida. Her dream is to pursue a career in comic illustration—breathing life into stories through color, expression, and imagination.\nThe North Brevard Art League, a nonprofit organization, is committed to supporting local artists and fostering creativity in the community.
