The best weddings are an intimate celebration with family and friends. They’re a time to come together to laugh, to cry, to toast, and most importantly to stop, pause and join together to celebrate in love with the people you cherish the most.

The fabulous setting, impeccable service and elegant cuisine offered at Tradewinds Restaurant at Duran Golf Club will combine to create a memorable day. From an outdoor wedding ceremony on the veranda, to an exquisite dinner followed by a reception with dancing guests, it will be sure to fulfill all your dreams in from just one location.

Ambiance and Decor

How many times have you visited a reception venue and had to “use your imagination” to visualize what the room will look like when is it decorated? It can be overwhelming and hard to know where the decorating should start and end. But put your mind at ease, because the Clubhouse at Duran boasts a spectacular 10,000-square-foot palatial facility of sophistication and grace. The dark woods and warm earth tones give it a rich look and feel of an island sugar-mill plantation.

Food, Glorious Food

The bigger the menu is, the wider the grins are. Tradewinds Restaurant offers complete bar service and dining selections like prime cuts of filet mignon, fresh, local fish, fowl and unique dishes created by our chef. The extensive selections offer something for all tastes and budgets. Of course, brides can develop a custom menu all their own with the culinary staff.

Tradewinds’ Tips

As the to-do list grows when planning for your special day, remember that the two most important items to lock in are the church date and the reception location. Because spring and fall are the most popular times for weddings, if a specific date is desired, make plans to reserve the church and reception date up to 12-15 months in advance. Tradewinds makes it simple for you and has sites available for both the ceremony and reception.

Venue Selection
An important part of selecting the perfect venue for your wedding ceremony and/or reception is location.
Before putting a deposit down, evaluate what’s most important to you and ask yourself these questions:

  • Are you hosting an event for 100 guests in a room made for 400?
  • Will the venue need a lot of décor to make it special?
  • Does the facility and grounds offer spectacular vistas to take photos if wanted?
  • Is the location convenient for guests?
  • Does the facility have an experienced culinary and service staff?
  • Duran’s Tradewinds Restaurant seats up to 125 guests inside, and can accommodate up to 200 guests for weddings utilizing both inside and the outside covered veranda. These numbers include an inside dance floor.
