It’s summer (so my hair is telling me) and while “business” may slow down and many people are enjoying a needed holiday, here are on a few things on my mind this month:
Must Buy…I am a shoe fanatic so this has to be my next investment. The only thing holding me back is the decision on what color to select – signature red, classic solid or fun Chevron print? Decisions, decisions. Pinterest.com
Must-read… recently SCB Marketing’s team attended the KPI Brand Accelerator in Orlando. Daniel Priestley’s book is a short read that outlines the five step sequence to “becoming one of the most highly valued and highly paid people in your industry.” It is fascinating. KeyPersonOfInfluence.com/usa
I am loving…Envy Organics Nutrient Body Wash Papaya Pineapple. The sulfate free formula is gentle on skin and the Papaya and Pineapple scent just smells like summer (Though I love it year round.) EnvyOrganics.com
I am excited about… happy hour. Summer is the perfect opportunity to catch up with friends over a refreshing drink by the pool or during brunch. This recipe for “amaretto slush” is perfect for either one. It is delicious and refreshing on a hot Florida day. Yum!
1-12 oz. can frozen lemonade concentrate
1-12 oz. can frozen orange juice concentrate
1 cup sugar
6 cups water
1-Fifth of amaretto liqueur (could also use peach brandy)
4 bags green tea
7-Up or Sprite
Cherries and orange slices (for garnish)
Steep tea bags in 2 cups of the water for 5 minutes. Mix remaining ingredients, including the 4 remaining cups of water.
When serving, mix 2/3 frozen slush to 1/3 of 7-Up or Sprite. Garnish with a cherry and orange slice.
I am headed to…the water! I love the summer, the extra hours of daylight and getting out on the water to enjoy what the beautiful Space Coast has to offer. I’m ready to slather on the sunscreen, don my floppy hat and relax.
