“It is very gratifying to help people through the most difficult times of their lives.” – Judy Schrader

Judy Schrader is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 18 years of experience. She has dedicated her career to helping people overcome life’s challenges. Her approach to therapy centers on respect and guides individuals, couples, and families to solutions based on personal needs and goals in a compassionate, confidential and safe environment. Specialties include marital counseling, divorce, blended families, parenting and adolescent issues, eating disorders, trauma, borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety and life transitions.

“It is very gratifying to help people through the most difficult times of their lives,” Schrader said. “I love when a couple is close to divorce and reconnects, or a teenager struggling with school regains their confidence.” Schrader enjoys working with young adults and teenagers because “they have a special energy that  is often unappreciated.”

Schrader believes in the importance of family and if at all possible, keeping them intact. When necessary, she provides direction to ease the daunting divorce process and help achieve positive outcomes to create livable and realistic parent timesharing agreements. Schrader earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland and graduated with honors from Rollins College with a Master of Arts degree in community mental health. She has lived in Florida since 1990 and is married with two grown children and two stepchildren.
