“From Bollywood to Hollywood” is the theme of the 16th annual Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festival (MIFF) that will honor the rich film tradition of India and Florida filmmakers and local talent. Films that will be shown at this year’s festival were selected from more than 250 entries.

Real Food Real Kitchens,” the television series about family, food, culture and history will premiere a new episode from season two live at the Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festival.

According to the “Real Food Real Kitchens’” website, the show “…tells the intimate story of a person, their family, and their culture and how food creates an emotional bond that connects them all together.” In line with the MIFF’s theme, “From Bollywood to Hollywood,” the new episode will feature an Indian family from Melbourne that will make a samosa appetizer, Mutton Biryani and a side of Bagare Baigan, followed by Sheer Korma for dessert.

Guests in attendance will have an opportunity to sample dishes featured on the show.

The MIFF is set for October 10 – 11 at the Premiere Theaters Oaks Stadium, 1800 W. Hibiscus Blvd., Melbourne. Tickets will be available at the Premiere Theaters Oaks Stadium 10, or online at PremiereTheaters.com. All proceeds benefit The No Limits Academy.
