“I met some of the most amazing women that had been through this, and it gave me a sense of strength and peace that I would survive as well.  My son was also a big inspiration for me.  He keeps me grounded, and I knew I needed to be strong for him.  Within a very short period of time, I was providing support to other newly diagnosed women. This was not only healing for me, but it gave me a sense that I was not going through this alone. As you can imagine, this was taken to another level when my mother was diagnosed, ironically, one year later.   I felt our bond become stronger, and I loved being there for her and my father.”
