Since 1962, this event remains North America’s most prestigious sports car race. A star-studded field of champion drivers and cars are tested to the breaking point on strength and endurance.

Jason Kempf, co-owner of Kempf’s Jewelers, Indialantic and wife Jamie enjoyed the special event-filled weekend being one of only 14 Official ROLEX Jewelers across the U.S. to be invited.

The activities began with the ROLEX Grand Marshall Dinner in honor of A. J. Foyt. Attending were members from the world of motorsports to celebrate Mr. Foyts outstanding racing career. Chef Danny Veltri, winner of Hell’s Kitchen 2009 created a fabulous dinner. Jamie, a great cook in her own right, really enjoyed chatting with Danny at the end of the evening.

Before the race officially started, Jason and Jamie had the exciting opportunity to take hot-laps on the historic speedway course. Reaching speeds of over 155 mph. and just inches from the wall was the highlight of the weekend for car enthusiast Jason.

The weekend was a most fitting celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the ROLEX 24 at Daytona!
